The Foundation- Quality and Integrity

Texas Shade Factory was founded in 1929 to manufacture and sell “Retail Venetian Blinds” to San Antonio and Central Texas. They built a reputation for providing high quality window coverings and excellent service. With these core principles the business thrived, and although the business is no longer in the original building it still stands with the “Texas Shade Factory” lettering prominently displayed.

The Growth- Traditional to Modern

The business went through many changes over the years, especially after Kenyon and Sandi McDonald took over in 1981. They continued manufacturing but eventually switched to selling from established and high quality manufacturers instead of producing their own window coverings. Texas Shade Factory was one of the first retailers to begin adopting motorized options, and the business continued to grow along with the great reputation.

The Present Day- Moving Forward

Now Jhet Brazil and Tony Kusbel have joined Texas Shade Factory to carry on the legacy of providing quality products with exceptional customer service. Jhet grew up in the industry and has 25 years of hands on experience installing and selling window coverings. Tony owned and operated a successful landscaping business and has always focused on taking the best possible care of his customers. Together they plan to make Texas Shade Factory the premier window covering destination for all of San Antonio and Central Texas.
